Like a moonlight in the middle of a travel, a peaceful and relaxing inn as if you came home to another home. Shinshu Shimosuwa Onsen Ryokan Gingetsu is at the territory of Suwa Grand Shrine, which is at the elevated grounds famous for the Onbashira Festival. Shinshu’s number one temple Suwa Grand Shrine holds the legend of the goddess Yasakatomenomikoto「cotton bath」which is the oldest source of hot springs in Shimosuwa. The spring source is as how it would be in Shinshu, fully uses Kiso’s cypress in its boasted outdoor bath and uses native ingredients in its creative dishes. Tour the baths and history in the town of Shimosuwa which is filled with charm season by season and enjoy a slow time.

単純温泉(弱ｱﾙｶﾘ性低張性高温泉) 循環濾過(内湯のみ)･消毒のお湯は無色透明無臭ﾇﾒﾘなしです。内湯は熱く露天はぬるかったです。内湯～露天への裸での移動は出来ません。露天は細かな湯の華が舞っていました。

大型旅館が多い上諏訪温泉と比べ、かつての宿場町にこじんまりした旅館が点在する下諏訪温泉。日曜日の午前中、隠れ家的なこちらの宿で、日帰り入浴してみました。入浴料800円を払って、奥の浴室へ。6人ｻｲｽﾞの石造り内湯には、無色透明の単純温泉が満ちています。湯温42℃位の適温で、肌に優しい浴感。DHCのｱﾒﾆﾃｨもそろっています。続いて、一度服を着て露天風呂へ。中庭に面した、白木の綺麗な湯小屋です。洗い場はなく浸かるだけですが、4人ｻｲｽﾞの檜風呂がいい感じ。無濾過なため、茶色の綿のような湯の花も見られます。42℃位の適温。景色は見えませんが、静かに貸切状態で満喫できました。次回は、泊まりで訪れてみたい。

下諏訪温泉で評判の良い旅館、「ぎん月」を訪れた。ここは日帰り入浴を快く受けている宿としてよく紹介されている。入浴料金は６００円→８００円に値上げされており面食らったが、丁寧に案内されながら浴室に向かった。 内湯と露天は離れている。露天は貸切可能だが、普段は宿泊客のみだろう。その日はたまたま客が少なかったせいか、宿の好意で貸切で利用させてもらった。露天は桧造りでまだ新しい。湯浴みだけを楽しむ贅沢な空間。目隠しはあるものの、すぐ外は民家で展望も無いが、逆にプライベート感が味わえる。 湯はＮａ・Ｃａ－硫酸塩、塩化物泉、源泉５５度に近い、やや熱めの湯が掛け流され、無色透明、茶色の湯の花が浮遊していた。隣の上諏訪温泉（多くは単純温泉、単純硫黄泉）とは成分が異なって面白い。 内湯にも入ったが、こちらは循環、やや塩素の臭いもしたが気にならない程度。やはり露天の良さを知ってしまうと味気ない感じがした。しかし、アメニティーは充実、誰でも使えるタオルがあったり、待合スペースには黒曜石で浸した冷水が飲めたりとサービスもうれしい。 ８００円は少し高めと感じたが、運良く露天の貸切ができれば納得、むしろ安かったかもしれない。
