修善寺温泉の中心街から少し離れた、桂川上流の河畔に建つ、大正11年に開業した老舗旅館。屋号に丸の字ではなく○を用いているのは、禅の世界では縁起が良く、「書き始めに戻る（＝初心に戻る）」「角がない」という意味が込められているのだとか。およそ9年程前に、日帰り入浴しました。 館内はお香の香りが漂い、旅の疲れも癒されます。大浴場「弘法の湯」では、無色透明のアルカリ性単純温泉を満喫。肌に優しい浴感で、循環ありですが、かけ流し併用。日本庭園を眺めつつ、しばしまったりできました。 入浴料は高めながら、気楽に老舗旅館の雰囲気を楽しむには、訪れてみてよろしいかと思います。
