突然いっても入れる気軽さと、 親切な番頭さん？がよかったです。 温泉はかけ長しで最高です。 わたしは空いてましたが、時間帯では地元の方で混んでいそうでした。 温泉のもとも販売してました♪

朝開店間近なのに地元の人で一杯！安いし本格的な温泉が近くにあれば、通うよね～。いいなぁ～ 混んでいるのは仕様がないよね！２３０円。

いわき湯本は大きな温泉街ですが、その中でランドマーク的な役割をしている施設のようです。お城みたいな建物です。 浴室は、外観の派手さとは打って変わって、薄暗くシンプルなものです。 八角形の檜風呂が中央に配置され、横に熱湯がくっついています。 日によって男女入れ替えみたいで、男子が岩風呂の日もあるみたいです。 湯は少し硫黄臭を感じる、ちょっと黒味がかった湯でした。 カランが８つしかないのに常時５、６人のお客がいて、無言で身体を洗ったり、湯につかったりしていました。アメニティーは石鹸のみで皆、シャンプー等持参しているようです。 浴室の暗さと相俟って、観光地の施設というより、地元の「銭湯」という雰囲気です。なので私はキライではありませんが、、、 いわき湯本は、他にもいろいろ浴場があるようなので、いつか散策してみたいと思いました。
