Dogo Onsen is written in the 「The Chronicles of Japan」and is the oldest hot springs nationwide. Dogo Onsen’s symbol 「Dogo Onsen Honkan」has a firm structure and has Shinrokaku on top which has a legendary egret and the Japanese drum gets beaten every day at 6 A.M. to announce the opening hours and it produces a historical hot springs feel.

改装間近の報に接し温泉巡礼は直ちに出動これに入湯すへしと欲す 本日天気晴朗なれど風強し 堂々たる建物、四方廻り飽かず眺めた 神の湯休憩付きを購入した。消毒臭がすると不評が立つているようだったが全く分からなかった 浴感は柔らかめの熱め、よく温まる。暫く汗が止まらなかった。貸し出し浴衣が嬉しい 内装も歴史伝統の厚みを感じ入った 台風一過の十月とは思えない気温と湿度、二階休憩所の高台付き煎茶接待をうけ団扇もパタパタ活躍した。石畳に下駄の音、暮れなずむ松山眺望も楽しい、その後、本館周辺電車通り逍遥した 翌朝は打入れ太鼓に誘われ朝一霊の湯に入った。泉質は同じという話だが消毒臭がする 昨夕の神の湯では消毒臭しなかったのは掃除時間の違いだろうか 皇室専用の間と坊ちゃんの間を見学した。廊下階段は狭かった 展示物の他、釘隠し、折りあがり天井、檜皮葺き、銅板葺き屋根、など見所も多い、改築に数年掛るのも分るような気がする

初訪湯。せっかくの機会なので個室を利用。 師走の平日の昼間という事もあり、2階の霊の湯は貸切状態。 雰囲気、泉質どれをとっても自分好みのまさに「名湯」でした。

連休中なので非常に混んでおりましたもんで1550円のお部屋付のところ（残3部屋・・セーフ！）にしました まーいつも来るところなんで勝手はわかってました 4年ぶりでしたが相変わらずの素晴らしい湯と個室での団子とお茶、ゆっくり派にはたまりませんね～ 観光客が殆どですがリ私達ピーターにも 松山に来た時の必ず寄るところです（結構来ます）
