西日本最大の露天風呂と聞いていて、いつかは入ってみたいと思っていました。 併設の旅館に宿泊したため、朝風呂をいただきました。 露天風呂は、ひとつ大きなものとその他小さめのものを想像していましたが、そういう造りではなかったです。やはり自分の目で確かめないとわからないものだと感じました。 温度が異なる湯槽に分かれているのはいいですね。自分にとって適温のお湯にじっくり浸かって冬の寒さを和らげることができました。 お湯は無色透明、臭いもほとんど感じませんでした。 宿泊者のみ利用可能な貸し切り露天風呂も利用しましたが、こちらはやや濁り湯で硫黄のような臭いがしました。 雪が降っていたので、露天内に吹き込んできて、思わぬ雪見風呂となりました。
