北浜の別府湾に面したロケーションに位置する大型ホテルで、比較的建物も新しく玄関の造りも豪華です。浴室は上階にあり、一面が畳敷きと純和風で、そこに7つの洗い場と2つに仕切られた木製の浴槽がありました。その内、奥の浴槽が3人分の寝湯になっており、無色透明の炭酸水素塩泉が手前の浴槽から掛け流されているため40℃弱の温湯で、長湯が可能でした。一面ガラス張りの窓からは青空と海が望め、ほのかに柑橘系の甘い香りがする源泉とのコラボレーションでとても癒されました。

温泉道無料券にて二回内湯に行きました。畳に木枠の二段風呂さすがに旅館なのでそれほどアチチでもなく適温な湯でした。薄い茶色の湯？ﾂﾙｻﾗの感触でお風呂あがりはサッパリしました。窓からは海だけ見えます。のんびり出来て思わず海ソングを口ずさみたくなる温泉でした。
